Glossy Box Canada Price Increase

So, as most Glossy fans know, the price of a glossybox has went up a fair chunk, as we were notified yesterday.
The regular price of the Glossybox was $15. This was a fairly easy amount of money to part with. Afterall, you got a mini gift in the mail every month, with stuff you either liked, loved, or could do without!
Now, Glossy has jacked the price to $21 a month. While this still isn't really a LARGE amount of money to spend, it sure is a price hike. I sincerely hope that they'll send higher end products, or bigger products or something. The people that already subscribed get 1 extra month at the 15$ rate. I will see it through for a box or two, and if I'm not satisfied.... I think I'll be saying goodbye to Glossybox! :( :(
With $21 dollars a month, I can go to the store and pick out a highend product that I know I'll love, so I'm just not sure!!!!
What do you think, Glossies?!

Upcoming Empties Post

Hi Guys, I'm looking to do an upcoming post on my empties! I've been hoarding my empty containers, so I have a few things to show you, which my husband thinks is "so weird". Haha!
Just wondering, what do you care to see? Do you care about the nail polish remover I use, and have emptied? Or are you more into the things that are makeup/hair related?
Let me know, so I am gearing this towards YOU GUYS! :)

My May Glossybox

Curel foot cream : significantly improve the look and feel of even the driest heels and feet with Curel Foot Therapy Cream- hydrates and softens dry, cracked feet in just two nights. NEW! 100 ml/$3.99
EDIT: Tried it for two nights. While I dont notice anything ground breaking, my feet are soft and not dry (though my feet aren't usually cracked to begin with.) Not sure if I'd repurchase, as I don't know that it does anything that my good old basic lotion can't do. I've seen a lot of posts about people saying this smells really good. Not sure if I'm missing something, but to me this just smells like lotion.

Simple Eye makeup remover : Simple Eye Make-up Remover effectively removes even waterproof mascara. Dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, safe for sensitive eyes, contact lens users, hypoallergenic, noncomedogenic.
EDIT: I did not like this. I used way more then I should've had to, and STILL had makeup all around my eyes. Even my husband mentioned that I had makeup flecks all over my face. WILL NOT repurchase.

Simple Facial Wash Gel : Simple Refreshing Facial Wash Gel leaves your skin thoroughly cleansed and revived, is a perfect blend of our purest skin-loving ingredients.
EDIT: This is simply okay. It's neither great, nor something I hate. I'll probably use it up but wont repurchase as I like the stuff I use which is the St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub (Blemish & Blackhead Clearing) which I pay around 4 dollars for, and lasts me quite a while.

Pandora's MakeUp Box Lip Gloss OR Lipstick : Pandora's Lip Glosses and Lipsticks are exceptionally formulated to apply with a creamy non-sticky, hint of spearmint scent or vanilla. FULL SIZE! (I got creamy coral)
EDIT: Tried this a few times, and LOVE it! The color is a really different colors, that I'm not sure if I'd find in any other brand. Sort of gold undertones or something...very different. I'm happy with it!

Sebastian Professional Volupt Shampoo : pump up the volume with Volupt Shampoo from Sebastian Professional. We wanted to give you this full size because you deserve it 250 ml of Volupt suds all for you. FULL SIZE!
EDIT: I haven't tried this yet, but my husband has and he likes it. I suppose he's got less hair, and could prob use cheap stuff and love it, so he's not the best person to test it. I will try this soon, and post my opinion though. I really like the smell of it.

I only got it today but will be sure to post more info on what I think soon!

Revlon Lip Butters!!!

Doing a little Review on the Revlon Lip Butters! I have 8. I apologize the pics aren't great but I am just starting out, and working at it! :) So, I hate lipstick. I don't wear it because I don't like how it looks as it fades. Decided to try these out and I'm pretty happy with them.

Lets get to it!
This is called 065 Creamsicle. It's probably one that I'm closest to emptying, cause I have been really into the nude colors and this is a great fun peachy nude color.

This is 095 Creme Brulee! A nice warm nude with more brown to it. Not one of my favorites today, but I've used a lot of it, so it must've been up there at one point. Haha!

055 Cupcake! This is one of my faves! A super pretty baby pink, not much shimmer, and a perfect summery shade. I'm sure I'll get a lot of wear out of this one!

050 Berry Smoothie! This shade is actually one I would've NEVER picked for myself but I do love it. I chose this one because of the gazillions of reviews I've read about it.  Its got some shimmer to it and is a fairly neutral shade in my opinion.

060 Gumdrop! Sometimes I want something different on my lips! Well, this is usually what I choose. It reminds me of Easter. A very light pastel-y purple that I just can't get enough of. Again, something I wouldn't usually buy, but did.

025 Peach Parfait. Another fairly neutral color in my collection. It doesn't really feel peachy to me, so I maybe wouldn't have called it peach parfait. I like the color nonetheless, and am sure I'll get lots of wear out of it. It's got some shimmer as well.
Ps: I got this in the 2 day sale Shoppers Drug Mart had going for 4.99!!! (Canadian prices)... I also picked up Tutti Frutti and Sweet Tart..pics below!

015 Tutti Frutti. This is a very orange color. Initially, I put it on, and thought...absolutely not. I gave it a change and wore it to work and both girls said it did look really good on me.... I'll give it another chance. I'm telling you, in the tube, it is BRIGHT orange! We'll see.

And finally, my new fave!!! 090 Sweet Tart. A bright beautiful, girly pink.. I did this one last, so I could keep it on to wear throughout my day. It's beautiful. The color in the tube looks very bright and is deceiving. I wish this picture did it justice.

Sooo.. now that I've shown you my 8 Revlon lip butters, I have 2 favors to ask.
1) What do you think of Revlon Lip Butters? Which do you own, and which are your favs?
2) Which of these 8 do you think looks the best on me, bearing in mind the lighting and stuff, isn't awesome!

Thanks, and hope you'll let me know what you think.... :)

Favorite "base/highlight" palette!

Hi Guys!
Just gonna do a quick post on my FAVORITE palette to use as base shades and/or highlight shades.
It is the Smashbox Be Discovered Palette. I actually said I liked this a while back, but only got it within the past month!

It has some pretty neutral shades and I'd definitely say this isn't the palette for you if you want a really dramatic look.

Here is a quick look at the colors!

Bliss (Matte Beige), Rosewater (Pink Sheen) Opal (Opalescent Sheen), Mist (Shimmering Silver Mauve), Adobe (Matt Warm Light Brown), Champagne (Shimmering Beige Peach), Pebble (Matte Neutral Brown), Lilac (Soft Lilac Sheen)

I cannot say it is super dark colors or anything, but for a very neutral look or as base tones, it is perfect.

Purchased at :Shoppers Drug Mart
Cost: $52.00
Rating: 4/5
